      It should take 3-6 months if you develop more quickly. Or 6-12 months if you progress a bit more slowly.

    Love the vids, Sid! I’m working on the pancake, forward bend, forward splits so I can hold handstands longer and eventually do a press to handstand. Your videos have been a great help. I’m wondering, in days when you do deep stretching to improve your flexibility and mobility, do you then not do other strength or balance work on those days? Or how do you balance the two on typical days? (Pardon the pun.) I tend run out of endurance and strength for handstands if I spend a lot of time on stretching gains...

      It could be done as a circuit. Totally valid option. Or you could do a superset.

      It’s been on and off for over 10 years. But for most people 1-3 years is a reasonable time to achieve this flexibility.

    More scapular retraction with an arched back , best back muscular development and way more biceps work.Mire bang for your back.

    Is this good for balance?

    • @sidpaulson1
      @sidpaulson1 13 дней назад

      Not that good for balance. But good hip flexibility can make some shapes easier.

  • @c_l_8162
    @c_l_8162 Месяц назад

    On the Hip Flexion Raise exercise, is the 15 seconds hold for each of the 8 reps or at the end of the set of 8 reps? Also, with the extended leg hold, does it have to be a plantar flex or is dorsi flex also useful? Thanks in advance.

    • @stefanoconforti2653
      @stefanoconforti2653 Месяц назад

      I think you have to hold it just at the end of the set, while for the extended leg hold it's up to you, you can do it both ways to get the maximum benefit

    • @sidpaulson1
      @sidpaulson1 13 дней назад

      I would do a short hold on each rep (3-5 seconds) and then do a longer hold on the last rep of the set (15-30 seconds).

      Pick the ankle position that you find the easiest to lift the leg as high as possible.

    Good video. Clear and very detailed (and I LIKED the music, unlike some other people on here). What I want to know is, what if some of these exercises eg. push ups and bodyweight squats get too easy after a while? Are there perhaps more advanced versions of all of these exercises?

    Would you know why my upper back does not become vertical during the kickup? I have enough shoulder strength, flexibility, and balance (1m handstand and handstand pushups) but still I can’t get the straight line every time. Any form cues I should use? Pretty much it looks like my legs and middle back are coming into the line before my upper back is

      Being able to do them with control and good technique for multiple sets of 10 reps or 30-60s holds maybe. Could be a standard to work toward.
